FARM RAISER ON GARDENING AUSTRALIA
Nestled behind Waratah Special Development School in Naarm's north-eastern suburbs, Farm Raiser operates a vegetable and cut flower farm. Utilising organic and bio-intensive methods, we cultivate our acre of produce on a reclaimed school oval.
We’re a non-profit organisation and registered charity, yet we sustain the organisation through the sale of our produce. As well as growing veggies, we also run education and vocational programs for students with disabilities, provide high quality food relief to locals, and run volunteer sessions, community events, tours, and working bees.
We acknowledge Wurundjeri Woiwurrong people as Traditional Owners of this land and the original farmers. We realise the immense privilege we have to pursue this path, we see this as a great responsibility to continue the care for the Country we work on.
Sovereignty was never ceded.
